Children's classes

Our Saturday classes involve a mix of modern styles (including musical theatre, street and commercial), ballet and tap.

Tots (approx. age 2.5-4)

Saturday mornings at St Julie's

Does your little one jump, wiggle and spin around the living room? We know how much toddlers love to dance, so we've designed a class especially for them.

Younger children (approx. age 4-7)

Saturday mornings at St Julie's

We have great fun with our younger kids! Full of energy and giggles, two classes see students (approx. age 4-7) begin their journey in learning the technicalities of modern, ballet and tap dance.

Older children and teens

Saturday afternoons at Ruskin Drive

We've five separate classes of varying age groups which meet at Ruskin Drive on Saturday afternoons. We concentrate on theatrical stage forms of dance; modern, tap and ballet, which includes pointe work for our strongest dancers. We also explore additional styles such as jazz, contemporary, commercial and lyrical.

It was lights, camera, action at our annual end-of-year show

What a fantastic afternoon we had at the Theatre Royal for our annual performance on 14th July. Our movie themed show was a great success - every single one of our dancers did us proud. We were sooo impressed with you all! A massive well done to everyone who took part and thanks to everyone who came to watch.

West end star visits our studio

Our Easter workshop with Andrew Chadwick was a full day of learning, lifting and most importantly, laughing. Our dancers had a wonderful time learning some original west-end musical theatre choreography and mastering partner lifts and balances. Here are some photos of the day:

Great fun at our Feb Day of Dance

Thank you to guest teachers, Victoria and Sheila, who ran two great fun workshops. We learnt a lot from you both!

Congratulations, Laura

A distinction grade is rare, but our dancer and class assistant, Laura, smashed her exams this year by receiving, not one, but three!!

Huge congratulations on this outstanding achievement, with love from all your fellow dancers and teachers at Oris Dance. x

Outstanding exam results 2019

We were thrilled to receive some outstanding gradings and remarks from our recent exam session, including a high number of honours and distinctions. What an achievement!!

A huge well done to all of our dancers who have (yet again!) done us proud!

100% pass rate in Dec 2018 exams

Following our recent exam session with the ADA, we are thrilled to have once again achieved a 100% pass rate. Congratulations and well done to all of our dancers - we are so proud of you all!

End of year theatre trip

We had a great afternoon out at the Lowry watching Dr Doolittle and celebrating the end of another fantastic year at Oris Dance. Thanks to everyone that came along, including parents who came to help.

Tapathon 2018

Well done to 60 of our dancers who took part in this year's Children in Need Tapathon on Sunday 18th November. The atmosphere was electric with all those shoes tapping together!

No Guinness World Record this time (for the largest tap dance across multiple venues), but over £37k raised for Children in Need and a great day had by all! Thank you and well done to everyone involved.

We welcomed ex Pussycat Doll and TV dance judge, Kimberly Wyatt, for an exciting end-of-term dance workshop!

We were so excited to have Kimberly Wyatt join us on the afternoon of 21st July. Kimberly ran two workshops for two different age groups working on technique, confidence and a fantastic commercial routine with us. There was also time for lots of photos and autograph signing! A fantastic day - thank you Kim! x

Teddy Bear's Picnic..."If you go down to Oris Dance today..."

We had a lovely end to the school year with our yongest dancers at our Teddy Bear's Picnic on 21st July. Teddies, cake and of course lots of dancing! Thanks to everyone who came.

St Julie's Gala

Thanks to St Julie's who invited us to perform at their summer gala on 15th July. Well done dancers - you did us proud!
