Some of our best childhood memories involve dance. From creating routines in the garden with friends, to proudly hanging certificates on the wall; from being mesmerized by the Flamenco dancers on holiday, to the excitement of getting new ballet or tap shoes...
And of course there was dance class each Saturday and all that came with it - fun, friends, performances, new skills, achievements.
Some years on, those children are now the teachers. Dance routines with friends in the garden are less common (although not completely unheard of!) and we hope to provide the kind of fond memories for our dancers that have always stayed with us.
Dance for all
Our philisophy is making dance accessible to all. You don't have to be the next Billy Elliot or Darcy Bussell to dance with us - a love of dance, music and a will to learn is all you need. In return, we promise you fun, inclusive and safe dance classes each week and additional events throughout the year.
"Oris" is a Latin word meaning expression. If you want to dance for fun, fitness, and with friends, come and express yourself with Oris Dance.

Well done to 60 of our dancers who took part in this year's Children in Need Tapathon on SUnday 18th November. The atmosphere was electric with all those shoes tapping together!
We're now waiting to hear whether we have beaten the current Guinness World Record for the largest tap dance across multiple venues. But if not, we still had a great fun day and raised lots of money for Children in Need. Thank you and well done to everyone involved.
We were so excited to have Kimberly Wyatt join us on the afternoon of 21st July. Kimberly ran two workshops for two different age groups working on technique, confidence and a fantastic commercial routine with us. There was also time for lots of photos and autograph signing! A fantastic day - thank you Kim! x
We had a lovely end to the school year with our yongest dancers at our Teddy Bear's Picnic on 21st July. Teddies, cake and of course lots of dancing! Thanks to everyone who came.
Thanks to St Julie's who invited us to perform at their summer gala on 15th July. Well done dancers - you did us proud!
What a brilliant afternoon we had at the St Helens Theatre Royal for our annual showcase. On 10th June we performed almost 30 numbers for our dancers' families - from age 2 all the way through to our '21-at-heart' 70-somethings! Thank you to everyone who took part and especially to all those people who attended and helped us to reach a record number of ticket sales!
Thanks and congratulations to 50 of our dancers who successfully completed this year's Children in Need Tapathon. A great afternoon and we were sooo close to breaking the Guinness World Record! Next year guys...!
Wow! Well done dancers! We have had an amazing set of exam results. 100% pass rate with 20+ Honours. Just fantastic!!
