The highlight each year at Oris Dance is our annual show. We partner with the St. Helens Theatre Royal and it’s always such an exciting day for our dancers. Parents get to see their very own superstars shine on a professional working theatre and we celebrate all of our achievements before breaking for summer. Show work is usually rehearsed between Feb and July (unless otherwise stated).
Want to stay in touch with dance friends throughout the holidays? Or perhaps you’re dreading a few days without dance? Fear not, we often run our holidays Days of Dance.
Spending a whole day at one of our venues, we follow a jam-packed schedule of dance and performance related activities.
All of our dancers are offered the chance to take modern stage, ballet or tap exams with the Allied Dancing Association and/or IDTA. It’s a fantastic way for dancers to gain recognition for their hard work and dedication.
Since opening our doors almost two decades ago now, we’ve always achieved 100% pass rate in exams. We’ve even put a number of our dancers through professional and teaching awards.
Exam work is normally our focus between September and December.
It’s so good to get out and about with friends, but even better when watching the pros do what we love.
We try to do at least one trip per year to dance shows, musicals, or pantos. Not only is it always great fun but experiences like these are a fantastic way to learn, improve and be inspired!
Our advanced class has performed at a number of charity events, helping to support local initiatives within our community. If you would like us to consider performing at your event, get in touch.
We also take part in UK-wide events, such as dance-athons to support fantastic causes such as Children in Need.
